Guaranteed Winning At The Blackjack Table

To increase your odds of winning at Blackjack, there are a few things you need to know as you enter the casino. The first thing to decide on is the table you are going to play at. Look for one that has a lot of people; this means people are winning here and your chances are good to join that winners circle. While it can be very tempting to take up the casinos free alcohol offer, remember that Blackjack takes concentration, so you need to be thinking clearly to win. The casino owners are not your buddies: this offer is for their advantage, not yours.

There is a lot of mathematics involved in winning at Blackjack. If you want to win big and consistently, then you will need to know some numbers. Do you still remember the rules of probability, how to convert fractions to a decimal or percentage? If not, then you need to refresh your mind. These skills are very necessary in Blackjack. You will also need to know the rules before you begin playing. There are some casinos where a certain table will affect how you count cards. Be sure the table fits the strategy you have in mind.

Your mother has told you this before, but it also applies to winning at Blackjack: practice makes perfect. You are going to have to practice and practice a lot to become good at this game. There are all kinds of strategy involved and you need to know it to win. When you are counting cards you don’t want it to be too obvious. In Las Vegas, they will kick you out if they catch you, so be careful. As with any type of gambling, know your limit. Don’t bet more than you can lose and no when to stop. There will be another day.

Techniques For Playing Blackjack

When it comes card games, few are as popular as Blackjack. As with any casino game, Blackjack requires a few special skills that you can learn to raise your odds of winning at the table. One of the skills you need to acquire is counting cards. While it may sound complicated, it is a skill you can master with a little practice. Here are a few tips to get you started.

The basic foundation behind card counting is pretty simple. There are two types of cards that give any player an advantage: the Aces and 10s. The reason these are desirable is that they give you a higher likelihood of getting a 20. If you have a 20, the dealer will need 21 to beat you. For the dealer, though, small cards (3s through 6s) are the advantage. This is because the dealer can get a range of 12-16 and then be able to hit what are termed, stiff hands.

If you are feeling intimidated by the whole card counting scenario, take heart: counting cards does NOT require any special memorization skills or the ability to recall every card that is played. Instead of memorizing the face value of every card in play you will simply assign point values to each card. You only have to assign the numbers +1, 0 or -1. Cards with a high value get negative numbers and small cards get positive ones. This works because when someone else gets a card that is less than a six, your chances go up for getting a big card. So the 6 is given a positive point. The zero will be for the cards in the 7 to 9 range. It takes a lot of practice, but anyone can master the technique. Just don’t let the casino’s catch you at it: this is considered cheating by them.

Blackjack is One of the Most Sought After Games at a Casino

Blackjack is one of the most sought after games at a casino. To win the game you need luck and strategy, strategy being the stronger of the two. The best way to understand and master the strategy of playing Blackjack is to find an online Blackjack trainer.

An online Blackjack trainer will teach you some of the fundamental strategies such as double down, stand, hit, split or surrender your hand. This will vary depending on the number of decks and the house rules at different casinos. One of the benefits of an online Blackjack trainer is being able to select the rules of your choice before playing the game in training mode.

When the online Blackjack trainer provides you the fundamentals, it will explain the game itself. The online trainer will advise you that the game value maximum is 21. Anything over 21 is a burst and you lose the game. The dealer will provide you with two cards. If you are not satisfied with the value of the cards, you are allowed to withdraw up to five cards from the deck. If your total value is more than the dealer’s value, and not over 21, then you win. If the dealer’s total value is more than the total you hold in your hand, you lose. If a player holds a ranging value of 17 to 21, that’s a good value.

Some online Blackjack trainers provide cutting edge simulation training to give you the feel that you are actually betting in a real casino. Some of them also provide an avenue for increasing your chances to win when betting against your opponent. Your skill can phenomenally increase with this type of technology training.

There are a host of online trainers to choose from that can teach you how to play Blackjack professionally. Choose one, and master the game!

Blackjack – Online game VS. Live game

Blackjack is the favorite game of casino players worldwide. Learning this game is simple, and your strategy is a major factor in your success. But as the players are now becoming more interested in online games, they have to face new challenges and a totally different set of variable features. We shall study the differences between the online games and the live games of blackjack, and find out what they imply for you.

When you’re seated at an active blackjack table loaded with chips, interesting people around you, and waitresses taking care of everyone, the idea of playing blackjack online may seem weird. The casino ambiance is something to be experienced, and nothing else compares to it.

Notwithstanding the glamor of the casino, many reasons are there for the players worldwide to seek online games. The primary reason is one of convenience. Rather than availing some time off, dealing with airport formalities, and then checking in at a posh hotel, you can just connect to the Web and play.

Online blackjack players love to be comfortable in leisurely attire and play the game. They can play it either at lunch time or after dinner. When logistics are concerned, nothing can beat the fun of playing of your favorite games on your smart phone or laptop.

There are some differences between the online games and the live games of blackjack, but they are considerable. When the number of decks, face-up/face-down, and payout odds are concerned, online blackjack is the same as the live game. But one big difference is that the online game has a digital deck. This doesn’t imply that it is rigged. The online games are always fair at reliable casinos. The only problem is that there’s automatic shuffling of the deck after each play.

Shuffling may not be a matter to worry for everyone, but it impedes your likely strategy of counting the cards. Card counting in blackjack is dependent on the fact that the cards which have been played will not be in the deck. When there’s shuffling of the deck after each play, then this principle doesn’t hold out.

You need not worry; unless you’re well-trained in card counting, online blackjack can actually provide you a chance to practice basic strategies. You can place the strategy tables on the screen near the table, or sometimes you might be able to use a software program that tells you the ideal move. Other than the statistical advantages, you stand to gain experience in proper playing of the game, and you can take your now-developed skills to the casino, for playing a live blackjack game.

In conclusion, we can say the change in ambiance from a glamorous casino to a dimly lit office is not at all bad. Though the online players are likely to miss some action only live games can offer, yet they can avoid the disturbing factors that may be present in a casino. This is very advantageous for a player who wants to concentrate on the game. So, only you have to decide whether online blackjack is suitable for you.

Atlantic City Passes Smoking Ban

The City Council has voted unanimously to ban smoking while on the gambling floor at all of the casinos in Atlantic City. The ban – which will be effective October 15th – was one of the last hurtles that stood in the way of the statewide ban that prevented people from smoking in any public buildings. Until now gambling halls were exempt from this ban.

This ban may prevent gamblers from lighting up while on the gambling floor – but they are still able to smoke while in the smoking lounge. Hundreds of casino workers have been praying that the ban would go into affect and showed their support by wearing t-shirts that said, “Nobody deserves to work in an ashtray.”

Dr. Arnold M. Baskies – the chief medical officer for the American Cancer Society stated, “The employees of Atlantic City’s casinos have hit a jackpot of their own tonight. Hard-working casino employees have been keeping Atlantic City’s multibillion-dollar casino industry on a roll, but have been gambling with their lives for far too long.”

“We’re going to save lives with this,” said Mayor Scott Evans. “People are going to be able to come here and enjoy a nice smoke-free environment.”

Atlantic City first tried to pass the ban back in 2007 – but backed down because they were warned by the casino industry that they would lose 20 percent of revenue and close to 3,000 jobs.

Caesars dealer – Kim Hesse – supports smoking and believes that the ban will cause them to lose some of their regulars who prefer to smoke while gambling – but she thinks that the number of people missing will be small and not affect them in anyway. “Think back just a few years ago: You could smoke in malls, you could smoke in restaurants, you could even smoke in hospitals,” she said. “Now you can’t, and it’s become the norm. People are used to it. “

How to play blackjack?

Blackjack Basics:

Blackjack can be played with anywhere from 1 to 8 decks of cards. More decks equals more of an advantage to the house, where as less decks equals more of an advantage for the player. Most casinos will offer a limited amount of tables with single or double-deck blackjack, with some not offering it whatsoever.

Table limits normally start at a minimum of $5 and have a maximum betting cap ranging anywhere from $100 to $50,000 (note: this figure ONLY exists at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas). Tables will normally accommodate up to 6 players, with the action starting from the dealer’s left to right. The dealer will always be the last to act in the game of Blackjack.

The game starts as soon as the player pushes in their bet into the appropriate betting circle. It should be noted that higher-denomination chips should be placed on the bottom of the stack, with lower-denomination ones being stacked towards the top. Once the dealer has instructed the players that no more bets can be placed, the cards will then be dealt out.

All cards that are dealt out to the player(s) are dealt face-up, with the dealer taking their first card face-down and their second card face-up. Players have a variety of options to choose from after their first 2 cards are dealt out. However, analyzing the dealer’s up-card is essential to making the decision to “hit” or “stand” on your own hand.

Players will normally stand on anything from 16 to 21, and will normally take a hit on anything 11 and below. Players can hit as many times as they please as long as they don’t go over 21. Taking multiple cards (hits) is a calculated risk that must be taken if the dealer is showing a strong up card such as a face card or an Ace.

Playing and Winning in Blackjack:

Blackjack, also referred to as “21,” is played on a points system that gives numeric values (see “Blackjack Card Values” below) to every card in a single deck of playing cards. 21 is the best score one can achieve in the game, and players should be focusing on getting as close to that number as possible without “busting.” Players who score a 21 on their hand will not only have “Blackjack,” but they’ll automatically win and also get paid 3:2 on their bet.

Players who beat the dealer’s hole cards will also get paid double their original bet, provided they have a number equal to or less than 21. If the dealer busts, players will also get paid out accordingly as long as they too have not busted.

Note: If the dealer is dealt Blackjack – or 21 – all losing bets are immediately collected from the players. The only time a player will not forfeit their bet on a dealer Blackjack is if they too have 21.

Blackjack Card Values:

Each card numbered at 10 and below (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) have a value equal to their actual number. Suits have no effect on the value (4 of clubs will have the same value as a 4 of diamonds). For example, if a player draws the following cards: 2, 5, and 8 – the value of all three would be 15.

Face cards (Jacks, Queens, Kings) all have values equaling 10. Like numbered cards, different suits have no effect on the value of the face cards. For example, if a player draws a Jack and a King for their first two up-cards, that will equal a 20 – the second-highest score behind a Blackjack or 21.

The last card – the Ace – has a special value in Blackjack. It can count as either 1 or 11, with the actual number being dependent on what helps out the most with a particular hand. Being dealt an Ace and any face card is an automatic Blackjack and the player will be paid out 3:2 immediately.

Blackjack Terms:
Hit
When a player chooses to take another card after their initial 2 are dealt out. Players can hit as many times as they wish, provided they do not bust.
Stand
When a player chooses to not take any more cards. This will normally occur if a player has a semi-decent holding or if the dealer is showing a weak up-card.
Double or Double Down
This occurs when a player doubles his wager after the first two cards are dealt. When a player chooses to double it normally means they feel they have a great chance of making a winning hand on their 3rd card, subsequently winning more money. When a player doubles, the wager must be placed next to their original bet before the request for a 3rd card is made.
Split
This can be done when a player has two identically numbered cards dealt to them on the initial deal. Basically, both cards are split and a new wager is made – essentially making 2 hands. To split, a player must put in an identical wager to their original one before the next cards are dealt out to the split hand.
Surrender
An option given to players that allows them to give up their cards and half their original wager if he/she feels they have a hand that cannot win against the dealer’s. This is only allowed in some land-based casinos.
Bust or Break
If a player’s cards exceed 21, then they have gone “bust.” Their original bets are immediately taken by the dealer once this happens.

Virtual Blackjack Machines Making Big Hit

Blackjack used to be one of the most well known gambling games and one of the most popular. It is a simple game that is easy to learn and easy to play. While it focuses on the luck of the draw there is still some skill that is required – despite what most people think. To effectively play you need to know when to hold and when to pick another card. Unfortunately it seems that the game of blackjack is losing its appeal to most people. Manufacturers and casinos have been trying to find new ways of igniting the fire beneath people in order to bring them back to the blackjack table – but to no avail. That was until just now.
GTECH has created virtual blackjack tables that will entice and win over any player who is looking to have some fun and win it all. The fact that these new tables are virtual is enough to gain the interest of many people. After all when we see something that can talk and that knows what we want we can’t help – but be interested.
The first set of these virtual blackjack tables are being installed at the Lincoln gambling hall that is at the Twin River greyhound track. In order to make room for them they will be removing around 30 of the video slot machines that they find no more need for.
If everything goes according to plan around half a dozen of the new blackjack machines will be installed by next week. Five players can sit at each machine – which plays like a normal blackjack game. The dealer – a gorgeous blonde woman – is dealing and the player will signal what move they will make. The manufacturer – GTECH – has praised the new machines and has stated that it mixes together “the latest in interactive technology with the camaraderie of live table games. “Personable video dealers will entice even the most reticent players to try their luck at table games.”
Lottery officials are looking forward to the new machines and are hoping that they can increase the gambling revenue of Rhode Island by around $1 million annually if not more. It seems though that there could be a slight delay in plans. Speaker William Murphy has requested that the attorney general be called for his opinion on whether or not these virtual blackjack machines should be given a legislative stamp of approval before being installed. However, whether or not this is something that will be pursued is still under question.
Spokesman Jeff Neal has stated, “From the point of view of the Department of Revenue video-blackjack terminals are not substantially different, legally, from the other video-lottery terminals already installed at the two gambling facilities, Lincoln and Newport. While their outside appearance is different, their method of operation is the same. As a result, the Department of Revenue has allowed the company to proceed with its plans to install these new video lottery terminals.”

Yet, this isn’t going to stop GTECH from making this huge step and investment in these machines. “GTECH’s investing a lot of money to bring this machine in because they feel they are going to make a substantial amount of money over what the present terminal’s making so it’s in our best interest when they want to bring them to allow them,” stated Neal.
